He would make promises, but never kept them. Even as a little boy I would try to be good or change in order to receive that love, but he still never kept his word. I’ve written many songs about broken promises, but when I reflect on “Tell Me I’m Yours”, the rawness of the vocals and lyrics couldn’t of portrayed my underlying pain any better.” Kenyon France
