MORE Indie Invaders / POSTED BY: KINGSOFAR

After taking a break from music for the past few years, Ellie Grace has released “Carousel.” During her hiatus, Ellie pursued her dream of traveling the world, which heavily inspired the new single. “Carousel” captures the mixed emotions that come with leaving your city and starting a new life. Although there is excitement and euphoria, there is also a sense of regret and isolation. Ellie wanted to convey both of these feelings while emphasizing that she is determined to have fun regardless.

“Carousel” showcases a rockier side of Ellie’s music style, which typically consists of synth-pop and indie pop. However, her transparently honest lyrics and raw vocals remain consistent throughout her work. The guitar riffs in the track beautifully complement the angst in Ellie’s voice.

Ellie Grace began writing music at the young age of nine and has since worked on numerous projects. Her DIY approach to music combines indie-pop and pop-rock, influenced by female-driven pop icons like Taylor Swift, Halsey, and FLETCHER. After earning a degree in songwriting and years of music education, Ellie developed her unique and raw narrative style that is evident in all her musical creations. She has received significant recognition from media outlets such as BBC Introducing radio and DIVA magazine.
