MORE Indie Invaders / POSTED BY: KINGSOFAR

If you’re in the mood for something dark and atmospheric, check out Houston in the Blind’sThoughts of You.” With its quiet yet compelling vocals, this track evokes The Lumineers’ vibe and draws you in emotionally after a few listens. It could fit perfectly on Spotify’s indie/ dreamy playlists.

“It’s a song that asks many hard questions and offers no answers. It searches for beauty in dark times. It’s my favorite song on the record, but it’s tough. For me, it still draws blood,” the artist explains.

Formed in 2014, Houston in the Blind quickly made a name for themselves in the Atlanta music scene. Their debut album, “Limbs,” released in 2015, became an indie hit, landing spots on numerous year-end “Best of” lists and propelling the band on a nationwide tour.

This success seemed like the breakthrough Garrett had been patiently waiting for. Seeking a change of scenery from his hometown of Athens, Georgia, Garrett and his wife decided to head west to Los Angeles, poised for the next chapter in their musical journey.
