Look out for The Edge of the World” by Mindy Gledhill,  a beautiful acoustic folk track that fits perfectly in cozy, reflective settings like a coffee shop on a rainy day. It could fit a home on Spotify playlists such as Chill Vibes, Dreamy Vibes, and Late Night Vibes.

Gledhill reflects on the inspiration for the song, saying: “Is there a safe place in your mind where you can go to meet your inner child? Mine is ‘The Edge of the World’—a literal ledge at the top of ‘Fickle Hill’ in Eureka, CA where I grew up. When I was a child, my high school aged siblings would go there at night with their friends to lay on the ledge and watch the stars or throw rocks over the drop-off. Ironic how the safety of being in the company of the ones you love and look up to can erase the fear of standing over a drop-off in the dark.”

This track is part of her upcoming album, The Phone Booth Sessions Vol. 1, set to release on September 17 via her own Blue Morph Label. It’s her seventh full-length LP and the first where she shares a co-producer credit. The album’s previous single, “Pleased To Meet Me,” has already garnered nearly 200k plays on YouTube.

If you’re on the hunt for something experimental and indie, look no further than Mina and her  track “Disobey.” This song is perfect for fans of Imogen Heap and would be a fantastic addition to any of Spotify’s experimental, new age, lo-fi beats, and chillhop playlists. Mina, a  vocalist and producer based in Brooklyn, NY, discovered her true musical identity during the crazy year of 2020. Amid the chaos of the lockdown, she found solace and creative expression in her music, turning to her art as a sanctuary. The track twists and turns unpredictably, yet it all comes together beautifully.

Just popping up on our radar, check out Berlin based Fancie Eliott and her debut track “Delusional,” released back in February. The track is too good to miss, with its 80’s influence, infectious melody, and indie pop vocals.

Francie says, “The song conveys the idea that sometimes it’s better to cherish the idealized version of someone rather than letting harsh realities shatter your longings. It’s about the disappointment that often comes from getting too close and the wisdom in preserving a beautiful imagination.”

With over five years of experience, Francie has established herself as a talented songwriter, crafting releases for various artists and DJs, primarily within the EDM scene. All the songs she has been involved in—whether through co-writing or performing—have collectively garnered 47,000,000 streams so far.

“You are the master of your own world, and there’s immense beauty in the unknown,” says Francie. “Sometimes, the most beautiful experiences are those crafted within our own minds.”

Keep an eye on Kyle Jaymes and his track “Haunting.” As the title suggests, this song delivers a haunting, dark folk indie pop vibe. Fans of clapping, banjos, and “hey ho’s” will love it. Think along the lines of Noah Kahan, The Lumineers, and Mumford & Sons.

This New England-based artist has been writing songs for as long as he can remember. He has played in bands, written and recorded many home demos, and believes his more recent work is his best yet. While largely influenced by indie and emo, he also enjoys dabbling in soulful R&B songs from time to time.

Look out for Dissolved Girl and their track “I’m a Beast.” Reminiscent of ’90s electro-grunge acts like Garbage but with a modern twist, the song features a cool riff and Shirley Manson-type vocals. The track would fit well on Spotify’s Alt Rocked and Indie All-Stars playlists.

The four-piece band from London is united by a love of ’90s trip-hop, alt-rock, complex soundscapes, and melodic hooks. Their debut album, crafted over the past four years, was produced by Dani Castelar (known for two No. 1 albums with Paolo Nutini) and mastered by Matt Colton (Arctic Monkeys, Michael Kiwanuka, Royal Blood).
