Check out Natalie Shay’s new song “Love You To Death,” a fun, upbeat track that’s perfect for spring! As Shay explains, “It’s a song about the early stages of a new romance, where you’re trying not to come off as insane, but secretly you’re hooked on that person’s every move and word. A relationship where you can picture the potential so fast, and the only thing you want is for that person to dive into you. An indie pop representation of the anxious/avoidant attachment dynamic.”

Shay has gained attention from major outlets like Billboard, Clash, and The Line of Best Fit, and her performances include CBBC’s Saturday Mash Up!. She’s landed spots on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlists in 12 countries (twice in the UK) and has toured with artists like Shania Twain and Gavin DeGraw, all while working with EDM producers like Grum and Kryder.

For fans of fresh indie pop tracks, you can find “Love You To Death” on playlists like Indie Pop Essentials, Pop Upbeat, and Feel Good Indie.

Don’t miss her live performance at The Omeara in London on March 3rd!

Watch out for Janet Devlin and the song Back to My Senses. A great track if you’re looking for a pop-country vibe with a memorable chorus.

Devlin says, “‘Back To My Senses’ serves as both a moment of honest self-reflection and a plea directed at her former lover, following the painful misstep of a breakup.”

With roots in playing in a Ceilidh band as a child, the fiddle leads the charge, joined by driving guitars and thunderous drums. Emotional Rodeo doesn’t hold back, blending the fiery spirit of Red Hot Chili Peppers with the soul-stirring melodies of country legends like Chris Stapleton. This track could easily find its place on playlists like Country Hits, Pop Rocks, or Indie Pop Roadtrip.

Since her early beginnings as a standout performer on The X Factor at 16, Devlin has gone on to achieve so much more. Her debut album, Running With Scissors, marked a defining moment, where she shaped her singular artistic identity. Her most recent album, Confessional, offered a deeply personal narrative, transforming her struggles into a captivating folk-pop journey that resonated with audiences worldwide. Paired with her book My Confessional, this multifaceted project provided an intimate glimpse into her world. You might catch her tracks in playlists like Folk Pop Essentials or Indie Pop Hits.

There are plenty of covers of Wicked Game, but Maudlin Strangers’ rendition stands out as one of the best. Their version has a grungy, haunting edge, with Jake Hays’ distinctive vocals layered in fuzzed-out guitars and atmospheric electronics that give the track a darker, more ethereal quality compared to the original.

Formed in 2010 by Los Angeles native Jake Hays, Maudlin Strangers began as a solo indie rock project. After a series of independent releases and the formation of a full band with close friends, they signed with BMG/Vagrant Records, releasing the critically acclaimed Overdose EP in 2015. Their music quickly gained attention, leading to tours across the US and Canada with acts like Bad Suns and Cold War Kids. After a brief hiatus in 2016, Maudlin Strangers re-emerged in 2023 with a fresh lineup, including original member Richie Gonzales (drums), Alexander “Schmorgle” Morgan (guitar/keys), and Drew Bruchs (bass).

Their version of Wicked Game would be a great fit for playlists like Indie Rock Anthems, Sad Songs to Cry To, Alt-Rock Essentials, Chill Indie Vibes, and Haunting Covers.

Bella Rios‘ new single “Right Now” fits well on playlists like Bedroom Pop Vibes, Indie Pop Essentials, Melancholy Hits, and Chill Study Beats. The song captures her final year at Princeton University, reflecting on the present moment.

Bella is currently balancing her senior year in Economics with her music career. “My songwriting process is pretty structured, so it all kind of generally follows the same flow. I start with chord progression and I’m the most meticulous about lyrics, so those come last to me. I want to be very precise in what I’m saying because that’s where my ears are drawn as a listener, so I want that to be really honest, authentic, and intentional.”

“Right Now” follows the release of her single “Options” and her debut EP Sincerely last spring. The track offers a personal look at Bella’s current experience, making it a relatable addition to her music catalog.
