Los Angeles girl duo Riot Child has released Hey 21. The track pulls from Twenty One Pilots catchiness and harnesses Lana Del Rey’s darkness.

The girls consisting of Amanda Riot and Alice Riot play their instruments, sing, write, film & edit their own music videos. Originating from Stockholm and now based in Los Angeles, the alternative rockers have spent the past 14 months working with producer Jeff Blue (Linkin Park, Macy Gray) and they just released their debut album Made For Another Time.  The duo will perform The Viper Room in Los Angeles on July 12th.

Kings favorite Secret Weapons released the new single Ghost and is #1 on the Hype Machine charts. The new track is an uptempo foot stomper; think Bruno Mars on steroids. The band spent last summer touring with Weezer, Fall Out Boy, and Panic! At the Disco before signing with Epic. The Brooklyn duo first made waves with the release of ‘Something New‘ which landed on Spotify’s New Music Friday.

Sleeplust, the Los Angeles quartet have returned with Flood Gates.  The synth-rock track comes off their forthcoming EP and follows the previous EP which saw TV placements on MTV, Bravo and VH1. Influenced by the likes of Broods, CHVRCHES and the Cure, the guitarist notes,”This song is definitely a perfect blend of all the genres we dabble in and it’s so much more in-your-face than anything else we’ve written so far”.

The band has lined up an EP release show on July 26th at The Resident in Los Angeles.

Swedish duo Tape Machines is lighting it up with their new track S.T.U.P.I.D featuring Sam Seg. Having landed on Spotify’s Viral 50 in Sweden, the track will get stuck in your head after one listen.

When asked what ‘Stupid’ is about, the Stockholm producers say: “It is about that feeling when you’ve met someone that you deep down know is gonna get you burned. It’s about that time when you choose to ignore the little thoughtful person on your shoulder saying – ‘She’s gonna hurt you, and I’ll hate to say I told you so’. Looking back, you can’t help but feeling stupid. So s.t.u.p.i.d.”
