Just when smashing a 25 year sales record is not enough. Consider this; Adele’s ’25’is nearly ’50’ percent of total music sales this week.

Times have changed and we live in era of streaming, not purchasing. The fact that nearly 3 million will purchase ’25’ is shocking. My guess is people have been starving for an authentic artist, a real singer, and a real writer. Adele is that artist.

Melbourne indie pop 5 piece Swim Season impresses with the new single ‘Soldiers‘ which comes off the newly released ‘Cascades‘ EP. Soldiers is a well crafted lyrical pop song with synths, guitars and a hooky chorus that will take the band to new territory. They have supported acts including Asta, The Vanns, & Northeast Party, and were just nominated in the annual AU Awards for VIC Band Of The Year.

As suspected, the Queen of pop  sold 2.3 million units in three days, more than any other album in history.

In fact, Adele could potentially sell 5 million copies before the end of the year. The single ‘Hello’ was the most downloaded song ever on iTunes in its first week.

HØØNCH, and indie-electro duo are making noise with the latest track ‘Top‘. Drawing influences from Pheonix & M83, the Los Angeles musicians/producers Jonathan Kim and Gabriel Rodrigues have created their own unique brand of electro alternative rock with memorable hooks and melodies. Adele recently performed SNL, and apparently someone leaked the isolated vocal track from her performance. There is absolutely nothing on this track but her vocal – it’s stripped, raw, & exposed.

This raw vocal proves that Adele can sing unlike other pop artists who cover up their vocal with autotune.
