Buzz Track: Our Ship

Los Angeles-based indie rockers Kin Cayo released the new track Wrong Guy which comes off their upcoming EP which is due out in April. They released the track Our Ship in January with strong fanfare.  They have received praise from Stereo Embers Magazine calling them “one of the most exciting bands around melodically adventurous and musically cunning.” “Both in rhythm and in melody they evoke an idyllic island environment, where one can put on the tunes with nothing to worry about other than keeping the piña coladas coming along.” – Pop Matters. They have performed at venues such as Community and Greek Theater Plaza Stage and Little Joy in the neighborhood of Echo Park where they just wrapped up a two-month residency.

Ronika

Buzz Track: Step To My Beat

Nottingham pop songwriter Ronika has released a new track Step To My Beat. Ronika has released several LP’s on her own record label, RecordShop and supported Little Boots’ gig at London’s XOYO. Her last album ‘Selectadisc’ won praises from The Observer and Mixmag.  She was recently invited to Stockholm to take part in a songwriting camp where she met Björn and Benni. The Guardian says “This passion for pop songwriting and early-90s production is showcased on new song Step to My Beat. Over typically glittery synths and a funk-tinged bassline, it’s the sort of low-slung album track that could have nestled in among the hits on Madonna’s True Blue album.” Ronika is an artist to watch.
