Although many of the predominant emo and pop punk bands have disbanded, Green Light Theory are keeping it alive.  You’ll feel a bit nostalgic of the music from the early 2000’s when you hear their sound. They are four musicians ranging from Hawaii, New York, and California. They have upcoming shows at Molly Malone’s in Los Angeles on August 29th and Amplyfi on September 21st. Check out the track Who’s Lost & Found Now?

Buzz Track: Breath Me In

I’m looking forward to Jared & The Mill’s debut album coming in September of 2013. Great harmonies followed with catchy choruses. They are indie folk-rock ala Mumford & Sons and the album was produced By Bob Hoag (The Format, Jimmy Eat World). They have shared the stage with the likes of The Killers and Youngblood Hawke.

Buzz Track: Kisser

The track Kisser by Step Rockets has garnered nearly 75,000 plays on SoundCloud. Hailing from the Twin Cities, Step Rockets is an indie rock band exploring psychedelia, modern hooks, and worldly grooves. They could best be described as The Flaming Lips and The Clash playing at a MGMT party.
