“It means streaming music is the fastest-growing sector of the industry, overtaking downloads, which are due to see an increase of 8.5% this year.” Strategy Analytics forecast that spending on digital music – including downloads, streaming music and mobile sales – would overtake that of physical products like CDs in 2015, both in the UK and worldwide. Kings favorite singer-songwriter Shannon Labrie just finished her new record that will be released in January. She has two upcoming shows in Nashville and her song ‘You Found Me’ will appear in the upcoming movie Cobu as well as the soundtrack. Labrie has been in the talks among several labels as well as publishing companies although nothing has been confirmed. Check out the track Secret – she has her own thing going on…

News Update: Burning Jet Black will release a new EP that will coincide with a performance at El Cid in Los Angeles on August 25th. Burning Jet Black has become a Kings favorite after listening to Magazine Girl. The band is fresh on the scene and consist of members of the Los Angeles based band The Whiskey Saints. For fans of The Black Keys and The Doors.

Singer/songwriter Elle Varner who Kings profiled a year ago will land on next week’s Billboard 200 albums chart. “Her debut album “Perfectly Imperfect” should start in the top 10 of the tally as industry sources are projecting it may sell 25,000 to 30,000. That number is about twice as much as some forecasters had initially thought the 23-year old’s set was going to sell.” (Bilboard)
News Update: Kings favorite Los Angeles rock band Beta Wolf just released a new EP ‘Just Before Morning’ through the band’s own label, Congregation Records. The band is currently opening for Daughtry and will perform at The Viper Room in Hollywood on August 25th. Check out their new single Domino.
