Universal Republic Records will be the U.S. record label for the TV talent contest “The Voice”.

NBC’s “The Voice” will consist of 4 celebrity judges and will pick talent based on vocal skills, meaning, they will hold ‘blind auditions’. The judges can only hear the talent, but can’t see them. The artists will perform live and the TV audience along with the coaches will cast votes.

Nashville indie band The Kicks who Kings profiled in the past has released a video for Starchaser which can be viewed here.

The band worked with Mitch Dane (Jars of Clay) and Vance Powell (The Raconteurs, Kings of Leon, The White Stripes) on their first full length album.
