LA indie pop trio Wild releases the throwback Feelin’ Good. It’s a new song but a familiar sound. Fans of Misterwives, The Mowgli’s, and The Head and the Heart will like.

“We make ‘L.A. Folk’,” says Lauren. “If you go to Oregon, Tennessee, or Texas, the genre sounds different. This is what folk would sound like in Los Angeles, because of the production and the hooks.”

The group first made waves with their independent debut single “Vagabond”,  leading up to the 2018 Lace & Layers EP. Averaging 900k monthly listeners on Spotify, the band garnered 50 million cumulative streams by 2020. They supported acts like Ingrid Michaelson and Spill Canvas on the road. They also  launched a successful headline tour and performed Bottlerock Festival and SXSW. Their music appeared on Life Itself, The Dangerous Book For Boys, Little Italy, ABC’s Million Little Things, Teen Mom, Legacies, Workin’ Moms, and Goosebumps as well as campaigns for Mazda, Pepsi and Nintendo Switch

Indie pop act PEPTALK releases the fun uptempo track Hey! Fans of Maggie Rogers, MUNA and HAIM will love. The trio has landed on Spotify’s New Music Friday, Fresh Finds, and Pop N’Fresh.

“‘Hey!’ is all about not wanting to mess up a good thing. As we were writing it we drew from not only romantic relationships but our friendship with each other. Ultimately the lyrics are all about faking it til you make it. It really came together once we finished the chorus, as we listened back we left the mic on and it captured us screaming the song together in the studio. It really captured the energy of the song and its message of enjoying the good thing while it’s happening.”

Singer songwriter Amanda Melmed releases the new song The Suitcase. You’ll love if you like bedroom pop with a blend of folk and country. The 19 year old who hails from MA is now based in NYC, and is influenced by Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Kelsea Ballerini, Kacey Musgraves, and Sara Bareilles

“The Suitcase is easily one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written, and that means the most to me. That being said, it took me the longest to write. I was so stuck in this place of sadness, loneliness, regret, etc. It was one of those times where I felt too much to even try putting it on paper, because I didn’t even know where to begin. So I started with a story that wasn’t my own, and the rest came naturally. Even now, I still feel those feelings. But having gotten the chance, along with the help of so many others, to make this song what it’s become for me has been the best possible heartbreak” – Amanda Melmed

Look out for clide and the new track Be Honest, his most mature song to date. The track combines singer-songwriter influences and 90s synths and drums that gives the song a unique and lush vibe. BE HONEST is the second single off clide’s forthcoming EP. The German-American singer-songwriter has landed on Spotify’s New Music Friday, Fresh Finds, and Pop Sauce.

“BE HONEST” tells the story of being in love, but at the same time being aware that those feelings are never guaranteed to stay forever. It is about openly expressing that thought of wanting to be with someone, while resisting to give any promises, for the sake of being honest. It feels like the song is pushing my sound to new levels, creating an intimate and beautiful listening experience for all kinds of moods.” – clide

Jules Paymer dropped the new track Blood. The track is the last release of 2022 as they/them prepares to drop 4 EP’s in 2023. Fans of Julia Michaels and Gracie Abrams will love Blood.

Jules switched their pronouns from she/her to they/them when talking about the track:

“I’ve always had heartbreak songs to listen to, but I’ve never had a song about the heartbreak that comes with living in a broken home, so I wrote one myself. ‘Blood’ is about forgiveness in the scope of family. It’s being released right before Thanksgiving because I know how hard the holidays can be and I want Blood to be able to be there for whoever needs it. Going home to a family that won’t allow you to grow unless it’s in the same direction as them is hard” – Jules Paymer

Originally from Los Angeles, California, Jules writes for established artists in LA and Nashville as she pursues her solo artist career.
