stella. releases the new single “Heimlich.” “Inspired by the visceral feeling of choking on an apology you can’t quite get out, Heimlich is a moody and raw exploration of the feeling you get when the words ‘I’m sorry’ get stuck in your throat.”

stella. is a New York City born, raised, and based singer-songwriter. He draws influence from Leonard Cohen, Brandi Carlile, and Paolo Nutini, writing music that explores themes of life, love, heartbreak, and repair.

After releasing his first EP Amalfi in 2018 and single Still Choose You in 2019, stella. experienced life events that pulled him away from music before returning with a series of singles that will lead into his second EP A Study in Balance and a forthcoming LP.

He also writes and performs funk and pop as Francis Aud and creates children’s music as part of Matt & Dan.

“Heimlich” could land on playlists including Indie Pop, Fresh Finds, Acoustic Pop, Sad Indie, and Chill Hits. stella. could tour alongside artists such as Brandi Carlile, Paolo Nutini, Hozier, Noah Kahan, and Ben Howard.
