It can be a challenge to find a good rock act these days. Fortunately, there have been a few bands this year that could change course.  The alternative act gP  is one of the bands. They just released the new music video for the track Slow. The San Francisco band has a unique sound of trip rock that infuses trip hop beats and R&B.  The band has 30K monthly listeners, 600K streams, and has shared the stage with Night Riots, Silver Snakes, and Rare Future. Kings favorite Taylor Grey released a lyric video for the new track Poison. The track which is one of the best out the bunch, was recorded at Pulse Studios in LA with producer by Josh Abraham (P!nk, Justin Bieber) and Oliver “Oligee” Goldstein (Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson). The 20 year old Stanford sophomore will wrap up 2017 with a WZKR performance in Wilkes Barre, PA where she will perform alongside All Time Low, Jake Miller and others.

Kings favorite Fling releases a video for the track ‘That’s Nice‘. The video which centers around a milkman is as cool as the song. The latest track could be this years indie breakout pop anthem. With heavy support from BBC 6 Music and spins from Radio X and Beats 1, the band is on a path to become a household name. They’ve been on the road in the UK since September and October which finishes in York on October 25th. The latest single was released through the Leeds based music label Dance To The Radio.

Fil Bo Riva releases the impressive “Head Sonata (Love Control)“. Give this track a go, because this is how an indie band ought to sound like today. The band first made waves in 2016 with the debut EP, If You’re Right, It’s Alright, and the new track comes off his forthcoming album in 2018. Fil Bo Riva and his indie outfit will headline across UK and Europe, performing their new material from the record.

Zoey Lily releases the melancholic electro track Nothing. Give it a few listens and the haunting melodies won’t leave your head. While the song may not be crafted for top 40, it certainly could find a home on playlists. The 20 year old new comer cites Lana del Rey, Eminem, Frank Ocean and Ben Howard as influences. Although some blogs have taken notice, the UK songstress quietly released a song last year. Check it out!
