Poema

Buzz Track: Enough Messing Around

Nashville duo Poema has released its first EP, Pretty Speeches. This is the first independent release for the Albuquerque, NM natives Elle & Shealeen Puckett. Recorded in Nashville, TN with producer Nolan Rossi, they’ve have captured a laid-back alt-pop vibe as you can hear in Enough Messing AroundThe 405 notes “If you’re looking for warm, endearing new acoustic-tinged alt-rock, well, it doesn’t really get any better than Nashville sister-duo Poema. Their chilled out sound is perfect for those quiet, hot summer days cruising down the freeway with the windows rolled down…”

Lyloh

Buzz Track: Sleep Easy

Indie songstress LYLOH who hails from Rancho Cucamonga, California released the song “Sleep Easy”. Think Coldplay & Garden State meets electronica. Daytrotter named her as one of the best music discoveries, while Audio Aquarium compares this 22 year old Southern Californian to BANKS and FKA Twigs. LYLOH notes “The one thing that I want people to get, or understand, or maybe strike a chord with when they listen to my music would probably be maybe you’re not alone in feeling the way that you do

Waters

Buzz Track: What’s Real

SF/LA indie act Waters is generating a buzz with their Vagrant release ‘What’s Real‘. The record was recorded over a 15-month period with Grouplove producer/drummer Ryan Rabin as well as producer Carlos De La Garza (Paramore). “While current alternative radio is pumping out songs about the ‘best day of my life,’ I wanted to write songs about heartbreak, about finding clarity about feeling stuck in your hometown,” notes Van. The band has performed with Tegan and Sara, Cold War Kids, Smallpools, & Weezer to name a few. Stand out tracks include ‘What’s Real‘ & ‘I Feel Everything‘.

Kid Astray

Buzz Track: Day In June

Kings became big fans of Kid Astray, a dance alt pop from Norway that just released an incredibly infectious track ‘Day in June‘ along with a video. They have been described as a motley crew of six friends (including a former junior golf champion, Italian Vogue model and piano prodigy), all in their late teens and early twenties, who knock out day-glo, indie-tinged dance-pop with the effortless ease of musicians with pure pop running through their veins. Influences range from Passion Pit to Foster The People to M83 to The Wombats. The band has upcoming shows with Walk Off The Earth & The Wombats.

Deco

Buzz Track: Tokyo

We fell in love with the track Tokyo by Nottingham electro-alt act DECO. This upbeat track is layered in synth, hooks, & originality. Think Imagine Dragons “Radioactive”. The single comes off DECO’s second EP ‘Minus’. Completing a mini UK tour this year, the band have recently performed venues including The Barfly, London, O2 Academy Birmingham, Rescue Rooms Nottingham and Kasbah Club Coventry. They opened for Depeche Mode at the LG Arena in Birmingham. Big things in store for DECO.
