EDM-DJ Famba releases the anthemic track Swear to God. Think Avicii, Kygo, and Zedd. His previous track, Wish You Well, clocked over 3.5 million streams, reaching #14 on CHR in Canada. Famba says, “For the longest time, I’ve been wanting to make a song with a big chanting anthem-like chorus,” says Famba. “This song turned out exactly as I had first envisioned way back then.” Outside of producing and writing original material he also remixes tracks for other artists. He’s garnered praise from Chill Nation, The Vibe Guide and Aux London. Give it a listen!

TALK TIME releases EP ‘Year of Self’. The debut single helped the band solidify a base. It was premiered by Nic Harcourt (KCRW, 885fm), receiving spins on (ALT 98.7) and LA’s (KROQ). It also topped the Hype Machine charts and clocked over 300k streams. It all began when the East LA based act captured the attention of music producer Math Bishop (U2, Two Door Cinema Club, The Killers). If you’re fan of Wilco, War On Drugs, and Bon Iver then it’s worth checking them out. You can see them perform at the Bootleg Theatre in Los Angels on 4/16.

Singer-songwriter and producer Pierre-Marie Maulini, aka STAL, released the track Magic along with a video. This is as good as it gets. The latest track was produced by Eric Palmquist (Bad Suns, Mutemath, Night Riots) and comes off the ‘Fresh Blood’ EP. Growing up in France and spending time in Ireland, he’s been touring the world with Anthony Gonzalez and his band M83, before residing in Los Angeles. In its short existence, Stal has released an EP and a LP, Young Hearts while the track Close Your Eyes and Jump landed on Spotify’s Viral Charts.

Cara Hart, an LA-based singer-songwriter from Barcelona just released her debut pop track Breaking Habits. It’s not groundbreaking but still fun and playful with a hooky chorus. Cara says, “Breaking Habits’ is a tribute to that moment where you can see a situation in hindsight and it’s all 20/20. Obviously, in this case, it’s about a boy, but it’s also a song about all the cycles we get trapped in because of our own bad habits… and sometimes our bad habits can be the people we let in that might not be good for us.” Give it a stream!

Power singer Stephen Sims releases the cover of Yazoo Don’t Go. It’s pretty amazing. The track was recorded in Gloucestershire, California and Nashville, and mixed by Ryan D Williamson (Owl City). Sims says, “This song had such a massive impact on me growing up as it was one father’s favourite tracks. I think Alison Moyet is one of the greatest British female vocalists so it was daunting taking this on. But I hope my arrangement and vocal does some justice to the original.” The British singer-songwriter made the Top 50 Viral Chart on Spotify and I can see his latest cover which will be released via AWAL make some noise. Give it a stream.
