Los Angeles based Jake London who goes under the name City Of Neon released the 80’s inspired ‘Electric Love‘ which is upbeat, catchy, and will quickly get the bored on the dance floor. Jake has a story that consists of loss, influence, and a move to Hollywood. Most of all, City Of Neon came as he was driving while listening to Ryan Adams. Jake is planning upcoming shows that will coincide with the new soon to-be-released EP titled “Ruminator,” which was produced by engineer Phil Allen (Adele, Pink).

It’s easy to become a fan of Dive In, a UK trio that delivers slick, and big-alternative pop sound. Residing just outside of Glastonbury the band formed based on need and the scarcity of musicians. One of my favorite tracks from ‘Change in Weather’ EP is ‘Big Talk’ with its driving beat, memorable chorus, with synths and guitars that trade-off throughout. The band is currently gearing up for a new EP release titled ‘Eighteen’.

Los Angeles Highland Kites has released a video for the track ‘Small Frame‘. The video captures playful scenes, vintage moments, and offers a perfect backdrop for the folk rock track. The band has found success through song placements on MTV, Showtime network, and VH1’s Tough Love and will release their third EP with Raymond Richards (Local Natives, Honey Honey) in March.

NY based Royal Tongues have released the track ‘One And Only‘. The alternative pop duo has a knack for crafting radio-ready top 40 songs. They’ve mastered the Oh Oh’s and the production is as strong as the melodies & chorus. Aaron notes,”This is one of the first track Justin and I ever wrote together, so we were very excited when we got the news it would be in the new comedy “Sister’s”. Thankfully, good songs rarely go unnoticed as the band has found a listening audience on Spotify & SoundCloud.

UK indie act Skies has released their debut EP “If You Feel Like It‘ on LAB Records. The latest single ‘Leave Me‘ has a stadium rock anthem and soaring melodies. The new track is a follow up to the single ‘Feel Like It’ which clocked 20k SoundCloud plays and 15,000 YouTube streams. Lead vocalist Alie Cotter says of the track: “it’s an emotive song about bringing relationship to an end, and addressing how difficult and painful that can be” (you don’t wanna go and I don’t wanna stay / but I need you to know I’ve tried). Having received lots of blog attention, rotation on Abbie McCarthy’s BBC and performed alongside Coasts, Pixel Fix and As Elephants Are, 2016 could be a big year for the band.
