indian-summer

Melbourne buzzing duo Indian Summer releases the new track Love Like This feat. Lastlings, a relaxed house jam that took nearly two years to craft.

While driving to the airport the duo fell in love with a vocalist they heard on the radio. Failing to Shazam the song in time they were unable to figure out who they were. A month later they heard the same song again at a house party and after finding out who they were it was by happenstance the band were friends of friends. With that, they enlisted Amy of Lastlings, a perfect voice for a perfect song.

Having several guest mix appearances on Triple J, Indian Summer have a string of performances lined up for December.

vallis-alps

The Sydney based indie electro act Vallis Alps arrive with a new track Fading. The dynamic duo consisting of Parissa Tosif and David Ansari wanted to make a track where you feel exhilarated and ecstatic.

The band skyrocketed into the blogosphere after their debut track Young shot to #1 on Hype Machine. They further cemented their place in the indie world having topped the Australian Shazam charts while debuting on the Australian iTunes Electronic Album and Singles Chart.

After a year of performing festivals and clocking millions of online streams, they are readying a forthcoming release titled Fable.

trails-and-ways

Oakland, Cali indie pop Trails and Ways puts me in a happy mood. The photos, the songs, the message…..everything. My favorite track Happiness off the latest sophomore album reveals the bands indie chops. Good vibes all around.

The latest release Own It is the result of their treacherous journey following their debut album Pathology. Half the band nearly imploded leaving singer-songwriter Keith Brower in dire straits. He decided beauty can come from ashes after picking himself up and backpacking across Sierra Nevada.

The latest album is a political tirade but it won’t leave you stressed. The band is currently on tour spreading the love as well as their anti-capitalist songs. Hugs for all!!

anousheh

Electro queen Anousheh brings us a new track titled Bones that will instantly get stuck in your head. With its captivating soundscape, melody and vocal line, let’s say..I love it, and others do too.

A slew of music blogs have come aboard giving the track rave reviews with Paste Magazine, calling “Bones” the “most infectious track you’ll hear this Fall”.

“This song came together fairly quickly on my end” says Anousheh. I recorded a really flimsy demo using a Logic drumbeat and a cheesy bass and strings combo- just to get the basic bassline and melodies down. Then I sent it to my collaborator/producer. He replaced certain things, added others. We just emailed the tracks back and forth until it was finished. Hooray for technology!”

The songstress is no stranger to success. She topped the UK pop charts while the track Say Hello was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Dance Recording category. This could be another year of Anousheh!!
