The music video by Rebecca Black for the song ‘Friday‘ became a viral hit, starting on Friday, March 11, 2011, when the video’s view count on YouTube jumped from around 3,000 views to
18 million a week later.
The video reached 30,000,000 views surpassing multi platinum artists including Lady Gaga.
Ark Music Factory, a music company that consist of music producers churns out tween pop for a couple thousand bucks a tune. Co-founded by Patrice Wilson and Clarence Jey, the L.A. based company courts young teenage singers and “signs” them to short recording projects.
Of course, this is nothing more than a prank. A bad song and a bad video causing a reaction. With that said, good job fellows!
