47 year old Susan Boyle sold 700,779 copies of her debut album I Dreamed A Dream shattering all kinds of records. Boyle is outselling Gaga, Rihanna, and 50 Cent. Her sales reveal that the adult market is being completely ignored.

Another notable artist is Casting Crowns. The new CD Until The Whole World Hears sets sales record as the highest debuting Christian album in SoundScan history with 167,000+ sold. Simply an amazing band. The band sold 56,000 copies this week. Singer Mark Hall has one of the best voices on radio today.

Adam Lambert debuted with 198,000 copies of his new release.

Thanks to the Christmas season many artists saw big increases in CD sales. Lady Gaga’s Fame sold 151, 393 while Owl City sold 46,412 copies of Ocean Eyes thanks to the viral internet hit Fireflies.
