Michigan-based rockers Vultures of Culture are gaining attention with their mix of alternative, power pop, and heavy metal. Their debut album, Out of the Darkness, includes standout track Catch and Release, which has been drawing listeners in and landing spots on popular Spotify playlists like Rock This, New Punk Tracks, Power Pop Hits, Heavy Rotation, and Alt Rock Road Trip.

The song was written by Luke DeWitt and Andy Patalan. It combines catchy melodies and strong guitar riffs, with influences from Foo Fighters, Panic Channel, and punk bands. After a previous band’s breakup, the song was nearly forgotten, but when DeWitt brought it to Vultures of Culture, it found new life. “The guys loved it, and it just grew into something bigger,” says DeWitt. It was recorded at The Loft and ATP Studios in Michigan.

The band also released a lyric video for the song, featuring a blend of retro-futuristic visuals and animation, with influences from Blade Runner and Back to the Future.

With over 50,000 Spotify streams and a growing fanbase, Vultures of Culture are making a mark in the rock scene. Catch and Release shows they’re just getting started.

Grace Winslow arrives with a new track called “I Hope You’re Happy” that exudes attitude and a touch of bitterness. It’s the perfect indie pop song for those who have been burned or slighted. The track would fit seamlessly into Spotify playlists like Indie Pop Hits, Chill Indie, Sad Indie, Pop Punk Party, and Emo Indie Essentials, making it a must-listen for anyone navigating the sting of disappointment.

Grace says, “I Hope You’re Happy is a song that I wrote one night, it’s sort of a ravage song. “I hope you’re happy” because you made this all happen so I hope you’re content with the choices you made and the outcome of it. Sometimes it just feels good to write about people that have been idiots and have done you wrong I like to change those experiences into something good! And write songs about those situations.”
