Kings favorite Sleeplust has released their new EP which can be streamed here on SoundCloud. The Los Angeles quartet released the first radio-ready single Flood Gates a couple of weeks ago. The new offering follows the previous EP which saw TV placements on MTV, Bravo and VH1. Influenced by the likes of Broods, CHVRCHES and the Cure, the guitarist notes,”This song is definitely a perfect blend of all the genres we dabble in and it’s so much more in-your-face than anything else we’ve written so far”. The Missing Pieces EP was just premiered by Billboard.

Adrian Underhill releases Cruel. Produced by Kindness (Robyn, Solange, Blood Orange), his 10 song debut album will drop later in the year. Adrian grew up Vancouver, moved to Montreal and then Toronto, spent time in rock bands, before moving in a 70s songwriter vibe combined with a more modern production style & sound.

Underhill notes, “On ‘Cruel’, I was lucky to have Damon Riddick (DāM-FunK) on drums, Keith Eaddy on bass and Blue May on guitar with those perfectly placed guitar licks. I love how the live drums and bass sit overtop of the samples and drum machine giving the track a unique rhythmic backdrop that keeps pushing you forwards.” Check out the latest track Cruel.

STACEY releases the vibey and addictive It’ll Be Alright which comes off the forthcoming First Move EP. Reminiscent of Lana Del Rey & Charli XCX, the latest track has already been given the thumbs up by tastemakers including Impose and The 405.

From song placements in Orphan Black, MTV Scream, Degrassi and performing alongside Charlotte Day Wilson, Cameron Avery, D.D. Dumbo, and Lenka, STACEY is quickly building a buzz.

First Move was produced by Derek Hoffman (Ralph The Elwins) and Alan Day (Four Year Strong), who discovered STACEY on Instagram.

The indie pop songstress notes, “Alan found my video of me singing First Move in my bedroom in his Instagram explore feed. We organized a session at Derek’s studio, which was conveniently (and unbeknownst to me) located across the street from my apartment in Parkdale. We got together a few months later to make the rest of the EP.
