Look out for Tom Forest as he releases his debut album HOPE in January. The British singer-songwriter who hails from a tiny village in London rolled out track Superhuman which is soaked with loneliness and vulnerability.

Speaking on the track, Tom states: “I have this image in my head of a man in a suit, underwater, never reaching the surface. ‘Superhuman’ is about working too hard towards something, and becoming engulfed. I worked for a few years at a law firm with the idea that a solid, well-paid job would somehow help me cling on in London, making music. But I was juggling two careers with no space for anything else, to breaking point. Sometimes it is better to give up, and to go home, if you can.”

Our first introduction to 2018 is the indie flavored VIØLETS’s . They released the hypnotic track Falling In Time a few weeks back. The three piece is led by the sensual front-woman Pippa who cites influences from Florence & The Machine to Vaults, Sylvan Esso and The xx. The London based act first made waves and picked up a cult following with their track Ghost.

I came across the Queens artist Duendita. She’s been quietly winning praise from various tastemakers and at just 15, she scored the award-winning indie film ‘Swim Little Fish Swim’, which premiered at SXSW. Her latest R&B flavored track Pray in which she says “’celebrates the experience of growing up in a diverse environment”, comes off her forthcoming EP, “direct line to My Creator”.
