Kings favorite Cemetery Sun has released their debut EP today through Lava/Republic Records. The band caught my attention when they emerged on the Sacramento scene releasing Fake Love and Sleeping It Off.
Their upbeat-catchy rock tracks that combine guitars and synths make Cemetery Sun one of the few alternative acts that could burst on the mainstream. In fact, after a label rep heard Fake Love online, the band had a deal shortly after. Heck, maybe they could be the next 5 Seconds of Summer with actual street cred.
The band has an upcoming tour with The Struts that will bring them to the northeast including NY, NJ, and PA.

Newcomers Strange Parts show off their creativity in the latest track Weatherby. They’ve crafted a hooky memorable track while deviating from the norm – not an easy task. They kicked off with the track Asleep In The Flowers which premiered on YVYNYL.
The artpop duo which began as a text between Attia Taylor and Corey Duncan has turned into a 6-piece live setup.
Check out the track Weatherby and get your art on and see them live on 11/17 at Everybody Hits in Philly.

He kicked off with his debut single The Streets which saw plays on Triple J, and with FBi Radio naming him Independent Artist of the Week.

Toronto based trio Bravestation hits home with the 80’s influence 13th Floor. It’s hard not to love this track. Ironically, the name of the band comes from the novel Brave New World and Robert J. Hasting’s essay The Station.
The buzzing synth pop act has won over blogs with the latest track including I Heart Moosiq and had placements with Apple Hot Tracks and Spotify New Music.
They just wrapped up performing Halifax Pop Explosion.

Kings favorite Felicity will perform in New York City at Rockwood Music Hall on Nov 9th (8:00pm).
As I mentioned before, South Africa is proving to be a hub for talent. The buzzing 18 year old power pop vocalist has come to the forefront of the music scene. Inspired by Adele, Sia, and Celine Dion — Felicity cuts right to the chase with the track ‘Burnt Sugar‘. Filled with catchy one liners and memorable hooks, Felicity is an artist to watch.
Born in Australia and having settled in Cape Town, she now splits time between Colorado and NYC. Having hooked up with producer Brian Kierulf (Mike Posner, Lady Gaga) she released the track Poison which has surpassed 100k streams on Spotify and the newly Burnt Sugar.
Come to the show and watch this girl show off her vocal chops.
