EricaBitting

Fresh on the scene indie songstress Erica Bitting arises out of sunny Florida.

College student by day and indie artist at night, this twenty year old writes songs in her dorm amidst philosophy and art books, with pictures of Amy Winehouse & Lana Del Rey glued to the wall.

Erica just released the haunting acoustic track ‘Year of Nonstop Love‘ which is about finding love. Already building an audience around her college community, Bitting is a one to watch.

Fou De Toi

LIGHTS, SYNTHS, Fou De Toi! That’s what you can expect from the Stockholm indie act along with some Oh Oh Ohs. Fou De Toi has been on the Kings favorite list for sometime, since I heard the track Dreams which has now topped 2 million Spotify streams.

The three piece are back with a new track Don’t Know What To Do. The track was produced by Måns Lundberg (Deportees, Veronica Maggio) and mixed by Lars Norgren (Tove Lo). The band notes “The song is about feeling affection for the first time in a long time“.

Fou De Toi which means ‘crazy about you’ in French is slowly gaining in popularity in the Nordic music scene. Wait, Sweden band with a French name? Oh, well, whatever, nevermind…

Mide

You’ll love soul artist Mide if the likes of Ed Sheeran, Bob Marley, and James Bay are on your playlist. The London singer-songwriter has a couple of EP’s under his belt and his latest Sooner OR Later is getting a lot of attention.

The kickoff single Names which has already clocked 10,000 SoundCloud streams was featured on ITV while the EP premiered on Euphoria blog.

His attitude matches his musicianship. He says “the plan is to play more and play better and take things bigger”.

Catch Mide performing Rich Mix London on May 6th.

RosesandRevolutions

Kings favorite NY duo Roses and Revolutions are back with a new track Back In. Singer Alyssa Coco and guitarist Matt Merritt have consistently released infectious indie pop tracks winning praise from USA Today Yahoo! Music, and Indie Shuffle.

They have played alongside The Head and The Heart, Ingrid Michaelson, Ivy Levan, and Marian Hill while their songs have appeared in ads for Volvo, and placed on networks like MTV, Vh1, & E!

The indie act is preparing a new release with performances to follow.

Alibis

Lots of cool artists coming out of London as of late. I like the duo Alibis, a collabortation between friends Richie Skint and Harvey Lee.

Having been raised on Otis Redding & The Clash, the indie duo shines on the new track Therapy which is taken from bands new EP via Blue Flowers. Produced by Cam Blackwood (George Ezra, London Grammar), the band has opened for The Strokes, recently played a packed show at The Social, gaining support by BBC Introducing.

Check the South London duo at Live At Leeds Festival on April 30th.
