Buzz Track: I Can’t Control Myself

New Wave Minneapolis act Strange Names has released a new track ‘I Can’t Control Myself’ which is taken from the new LP ‘Use Your Time Wisely’ out now on Frenchkiss Records. The band recorded Use Your Time Wisely at The End in Brooklyn with producer Andrew Maury and have been build a steady online buzz. They have shows lined up in Minneapolis as well as NYC. i-D Magazine notes, “Strange Names have succeeded in creating the kind of music people genuinely need; sunny, happy music that makes everything feel like it’s going to be okay.”

Flight Brigade

House Fire by Flight Brigade

UK folk-pop band Flight Brigade have almost completed their debut album, co-produced by Gavin Monaghan (The Editors, Kings of Leon, Robert Plant) and mixed by Donald Clark (The Knife, Noah & The Whale, Muse) at Artillery Studios. The album is due for release in early Autumn. Flight Brigade have released the official music video for their upcoming single ‘Housefire’ which is set in the Welsh mountains and follows the story of a girl fleeing the haunting influence of her past. They have been confirmed for Bestival and Glastonbury Festival. Housefire has a haunting atmospheric vibe with a singable anthem.

I Want That via Good Graeff

Twin sister duo Good Graeff are making noise with their unique indie pop sound. The duo is comprised of Brooke (guitar, lead vocals) and Brit Graeff (cello, backup vocals) who started in a Hanoi, Vietnam living room winning their high school “Battle of The Bands” competition. You’ll hear wide range of influences from The Pixies, Tegan and Sara and Andrew Bird. They just premiered their new music video for single “I Want That” off their upcoming record, ‘Good Job Go”. Baeble Music says “Blending sugary guitars, bouncy keys, and luscious cello, “I Want That” has a distinct chamber pop feeling that couches Brooke Graeff’s infectious melodies that can get stuck in your head all day.”

Buzz Track: Save Me

Indie duo Flora Cash released a new track ‘Save Me’ that will become an instant favorite among indie fans. They met on SoundCloud which in began a “Skype relationship,” which lead to other memorable songs including City Love & I’ll Be With You. They have over 19,000+ YouTube subscribers and garnered over a million views on their videos. They’ve released several singles and three EPs and have recently signed with the new Swedish indie label with whom they’ll be releasing in EP late this summer.

Buzz Track: Black & Gold

Tourist Attractions, a 4 piece indie band from North West England released a new EP ‘React Reflect React’. The first single Black & Gold is haunting & melodic as the band displays their own style of indie rock. Introverted, Angsty Dark melodies tangled in hooks and straight-to-the-point beats, inspired by the likes of Joy Division. Their songs have featured on BBC Radio 6 Music and they will perform Sound Control in Manchester supporting Lunar on their debut single launch, August 22nd.

The Lionheads

Buzz Track: City On Fire

Oslo pop rock act The Lionheads dropped a new record and released the first track ‘Human Walk‘ – an electroacoustic track with big harmonies and an anthemic chorus, that crosses between Mumford & Fun. They will perform Norway’s Stavern Music Festival alongside notable artists including Elton John, Pharrell Williams, ASAP Rocky, EchoSmith, and Big Sean. Baeble says “Whether they realize it or not, the Lionheads have a potential radio smash on their hands with its arena-ready hooks and larger than life sound.”
