The Espionne

Buzz Track: Hello Dreams

If Phoenix and The Cure had a child and the godfather would be Foals than that child would be The Espionne. Combine indie pop, new wave and a little bit of math rock and you get their sound. This Swiss act made our radar after listening to their track Hello Dreams. The band is currently performing shows supporting their debut album In Colour.

Humble Braggers

Buzz Track: How It Starts

And now comes Humble Braggers, and electro-pop band from Buffalo, NY who will surely find a place in the indie community. The first single “How It Starts” was written and recorded in a bedroom studio over the brutal winter of 2015 and is a peek into the pop hits of a cabin-fevered 80’s-minded Buffalonian. Front man Tom Burtless has a penchant for penning clever, keyboard-driven anthems that have just as much in common with Passion Pit as they do with Tears for Fears. The band’s forthcoming EP ‘Disposable Friends’ is out June 16th via Admirable Traits Records.

Marigold

Kings favorite, Marigold, a Swedish indie pop band has released a remix for the track allt kommer bli bra. The remix is made by the Swedish duo Cape Lion who we also featured and is now signed with Sony Music, and will be available on May 29th on Spotify, iTunes, Deezer and others. They also released a video for the remix that is spacey trippy ride back in time. They have performed several festivals including SXSW, The Oatly Break-Fest in London, the Peace & Love festival in Sweden, and have several big shows lined up this summer. The band is influenced by bands such as Supertramp and the more contemporary MGMT all the way to ABBA and Fleetwood Mac. The band built a buzz off their first single allt kommer bli bra.
