Paula Shtein

We posted UK based Classical Soprano Katie Marshall a couple of months ago. She was a finalist in ‘The Next Brit Thing‘ and the youngest singer to ever be awarded the prestigious “Sheila Armstrong” award for excellence. Following in her foot steps is Paula Shtein. From starring in many lead roles in community theatre productions, to recording her album in NYC, to winning awards for her vocal and acting performances, and doing voice-over on the radio, Paula will eventually make a mark. She could be picked up to star in a TV singing competition. Check out her video Change the track Ani L’Dodi

Kiven

Los Angeles quartet Kiven recently released their self-titled full-length debut and have converted fans along the way. In fact, for the first time, the drummer/man behind At The Drive-In’s arrangements, Tony Hajjar, stepped behind the board to produce an outside band. Our favorite track is The Blur. The track Into The Fire landed on the Top 5 on KROQ for 9 weeks straight and I Can’t Take It is the latest single. They just completed a 5 week residency at Hemingways in Hollywood and have an upcoming show at The Troubadour in July.

Delta-Rose

Delta Rose who hails from California is making a splash on the rock scene. This young band formed in high school and quickly found themselves being surrounded by the heavy hitters of rock. The current untitled album was recorded at NRG Studios and produced by Billy Schleifer and Isaac Hasson (Demi Lovato, Hot Chelle Rae). The song “10 Long Years” features Dizzy Reed of Guns n Roses. The band just opened for Gun n Roses last week in Vegas. They have an upcoming show at the Viper Room in Los Angeles on June 24th. Check out the track One is To Many.

imperial-mammoth

Buzz Track: Fifty Five Fires

Imperial Mammoth has become a Kings favorite, plus, this indie pop duo brings a solid story. The new album Gold Confetti was produced by Nate Pyfer, Ryan Petersen & Imperial Mammoth and mixed by Mark Needham (Walk The Moon, the Killers, Imagine Dragons). Their debut single “Requiem On Water” was on the Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1 Soundtrack. The Twilight placement helped catapult the band finding music placements in Grey’s Anatomy, The Fosters, Switched At Birth, Drop Dead Diva, and Parenthood among others. Check them out on June 24th in LA at The Bootleg. This is a band to watch.
