Buzz Track: The Optimist
Philadelphia’s electro-pop duo, City Rain is creating a buzz. The band’s first single, “The Optimist,” had its video premiere on Magnetic Magazine. The follow up single, “Join The Human Race” recently premiered its video on Artist Direct. Both singles are a part of the band’s forthcoming, full length LP entitled, Songs for a High School Dance, due out in 2014. The band has shared the stage with Capital Cities, Brick & Mortar, Lumineers, among others.

Incura who we posted a while back has signed a European deal with Inside Out Music (Century Media), although the band is still available for a US label. The band is unique combining technical prog-rock with classic rock arrangements mixed with the operatic drama inspired by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Check out their videos for Get The Gun and Who You Are.

Ashley Allen who we listed as a top 8 emerging artist just released her new EP ‘Body Say No, Heart Say Yes’. The EP, was co-written and co- produced by Cash Cash (All Time Low, Cobra Starship). She’s garnered favorable comparisons to Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Mika, Demi Lovato, and Lily Allen. As a live performer, she’s built a robust profile with dazzling performances at legendary NYC venues such as Rockwood Music Hall, Bowery Electric, and Highline Ballroom. Her video “Lets Go” has almost reached 400,000 YouTube views.

Buzz Track: Love Is Worth It
Brittany Ray, a 18 year old country/pop singer-songwriter from Iowa is making noise. She just uploaded a video for the track Love Is Worth It which features Richie McDonald from Lonestar. She’s compared to Martina Mcbride and Sara Evans with her smooth vocals and striking beauty. She plans to release a new single every couple of months along with securing live appearances. An artist to watch.

Buzz Track: My Getaway
Singer-songwriter Kellie Rodriguez is currently promoting her new EP which was recorded in Los Angeles. She captured the eyes and ears of songwriters after building a name for herself through vocal competitions in the San Fran Bay Area. Her Rolling In The Deep Cover which she posted on YouTube garnered over 70,000 views. Kellie is planning several shows that will coincide with her CD release.
