Macaila grew up in Farmville, North Carolina listening to country and christian music and looking up to artists such as Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Loretta Lynn and Leanne Womack. Her original music is comparable in style to Carrie Underwood and in sound to the voice behind Lady Antebellum. As a performer, comparisons have been drawn between Macaila and country music-favorite Miranda Lambert. We will keep you posted with upcoming dates.

Buzz Track: Chemical Overload
The All Ways who hails from NJ has become a Kings favorite. The track Chemical Overload falls between Bruno Mars and Train. Also, their cover of Adele’s Rolling In The Deep already garnered almost a half a million views on YouTube. The band most recently released an EP titled Chemical Overload and they usually perform in various venues in NYC including Arlenes Grocery, The Bowery Electric, etc. The band will perform June 9th at The Roxy in Los Angeles.

Buzz Track: Give It Up Now
Kings favorite, Kingsfoil will perform at Rockwood Music Hall this Monday, June 04 at 7:30pm. Kingsfoil remains one of the best bands we stumbled across this past year. Actor Frankie Muniz joined the band recently as their drummer. The band has performed with Passion Pit, Dev, as well as Cobra Starship. The band just completed a new record.

LA’s Oedipus are making quite a bit of noise on both sides of the pond, with 6 #1 Rock singles in Poland, inclusion on 2 Euro versions of NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL MUSIC, airplay in over 40 countries, including the US, where they have gotten spins on WJJO, WWBN, and LA Rock Powerhouse KROQ, who has the band comfortably poised at #2 on their weekly LOCALS ONLY countdown. Buzz Track: Never Look Back
The Nearly Deads, a female fronted alternative rock are creating a buzz with their video
“Never Look Back” which has clocked over a million views on YouTube. The latest EP was produced by Jon King (Augustana, Darling Parade, 3 Pill Morning). The band is scheduled to perform 2012 Summerfest as well as Van’s Warped Tour. For fans of My Chemical Romance and Evanescence.
