The Story: Kings of A&R profiled singer-songwriter Jake Walden 2 years ago and he’s been active since. Nearly 200 of his fans pledged $24,000 through a Kickstarter Campaign to help this singer-songwriter record his 2nd album titled Same Something Different which was produced by Christopher Thorn (Blind Melon, Anna Nalick). He just came off a multi-city tour with his new album hitting #12 on the iTunes Charts and is now featured in the #1 spot in ‘New and Noteworthy’ Singer/Songwriter Section on iTunes.

The Story: Mickey Shiloh is a singer and songwriter who has written for many artists such as Janet Jackson, Pitbull, Britney Spears, etc. She just begun her solo career and released her debut mixtape “Dear Future” on July 25. The mixtape is UK inspired with a hip-hop/dubstep/pop fusion.

Key Track: I Want You In Love

The Story: The new video release of “I Want You In Love” from pop rock band Ocean Grove, premiered on MTV Buzzworthy. The band is currently on tour with He Is We to support their recent release and have been playing together for years as the backing band of the Jonas Brothers. The EP, Another Place to Stay was mixed by Paul Hager (Van Halen, Goo Goo Dolls, American Hi-Fi).

The Story: This young pop rock band clearly influenced by eighties arena rock recently toured with LA glam veterans Faster Pussycat. The band was a featured artist for ReverbNation’s Microsoft Windows 7 promotion and had the second most downloaded song in the Rock genre, receiving more than 14,000 downloads.
