The Story: Who is Z? There a 6 piece pop act from Long Beach, California who formed in 2005. Z was called upon to record a track on hip-hop legend Nas’ album and became Nas’ permanent live band, accompanying him on several major international tours. They have appeared on shows such as Jimmy Kimmel and David Letterman.

Key Track: ATL to LA to Me and 365

The Story: Indie rock band Stamps are former members of The Hush Sound who were a buzz act on Fueled By Ramen, selling nearly 200,000 records, touring with One Republic, Fallout Boy, and The All America Rejects. The Stamps flaunt their 60’s influences taking cues from Abba, The Strokes, and Fleetwood Mac.

Performances: The upcoming performances include Highline Ballroom in NYC on 7/22 and The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood on 7/29. Expect a heavy music label turn out.

Key Track: Gone and Imaginary Girl (A Kings favorite)

The Story: This pop band from New Jersey draws influences from Maroon 5 and Bruno Mars and performs regularly at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. They will self release a full length which was produced by Jake Antelis.

Key Track: I’ll Pray For You

The Story: This Boston pop rock act have sold over 16,000 copies of their debut record without a record label, putting over 90,000 miles on their van. Westland is playing select dates on this summer’s Warped Tour and is planning a 40-date tour for the fall that will hit both the US and Canada.

Placements: Don’t Take It Personal was mixed by Mark Trombino (Jimmy Eat World, Blink-182) and ESPN, MTV, E!, and Showtime have all featured songs from the album.

The Story: This do it yourself hard rock band has moved over 10,000 CD’s and has shared the stage with other hard rockers including Saliva, Sevendust, etc.

Placements: 15 songs placed on ESPN (Football), and the song ‘Beat You Down’ is the them song for MTV’s hit show Bully Beatdown.
