Kings favorite clide is back with a new track release Fallin. The new track is strong and follows the song Lost that garnered over million Spotify plays. The Berlin-based indie pop singer-songwriter has a knack of creating songs that don’t initially jump out at ya but you grow to love to them. It’s like wine that gets better with time. The 20-year-old artist has 300,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
Check out Sucker by Kaptan. It goes, “I’m just a sucker for a happy ending”. This takes on a whole new meaning now. Don’t we want a happy ending? You’ll like the track if you’re a sucker (no pun intended) for up beat indie pop and chill wave. Kaptan is an indie pop act based in Nashville and we just added the track to KOAR’s Indie Invaders. The song also landed on Spotify’s Good Vibes and Young & Free.
The Weeknd, Dua Lipa, and Gaga putting out 80s inspired albums may have resulted with the resurgence of the sound. I hear more tracks right now that have that particular 80s sound – the Yamaha DX7 synth patch that became hugely popular in the 80s and 90s for its electric piano and synth sounds. I have a warm spot for the 80’s and maybe that’s why I like the track Electric by Daniel Saint Black. The singer-songwriter is from New Mexico and worked with Johnny Simmen, a Nashville based producer and writer. His goal as an artist? “To make the world a better place, one conversation and song at a time.” Give it a stream on KOAR’s: Indie Invaders Playlist.
I gave David Ost a shoutout in April with the track Some Of Your Songs which I really liked a lot. I’m not the biggest indie folk fan but David Ost can turn me into one because his tracks speak. They say something. Now the singer-songwriter just dropped another great track called The Deep End. Bouncing back and forth between Germany and Scotland, he now resides in Hamburg. Give it a stream.
Sorry folks, the Chinese owned app TikTok will cease to exist at any moment in the US. India as well as other nations have banned what officials call a Chinese Spying Software app.
TikTok is like Huawei and ZTE, two Chinese companies that have been designated as threats to US national security.
The US has looked at forcing TikTok’s Chinese owner to divest it. It’s been said Microsoft could potentially acquiring TikTok’s US operations. I think that deal is off the table.
We hear Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg is dancing in the streets now.
