The Spotify for Artists app will get a fresh update including listening stats so artists can see how many people are playing their songs right now. The artist will also get notified when a song gets added to a playlist or the artist gains new followers.

Spotify wrote, “we’re making it as easy as possible to get to know who’s listening to your music — who they are, where they’re coming from, and similar artists they’re jamming out to. You’ll also be able to see your latest stats for all your songs and playlists in a clear and visual way.”

Australian artist Toni Watson who goes under the moniker Tones and I could have a worldwide smash. Her debut video for Til I Die clocked over half a million views in the first month.
