LA based singer-songwriter Cappa drops the new track Sux.  It’s probably her most pop song to date. Since moving from Nashville to Los Angeles you can hear the change in sound. A different vibe with a different sound. With her latest track Cappa reveals, “It’s a pretty honest song. I went through a rough breakup after a long term relationship. I wanted the song to feel empowering though and encouraging that you can come out on the other side of it”. Moreover, she’s a had several song placements with Victoria’s Secret, Bumble, and Under Armor, as well as Netflix’s ‘Set it Up’. Check out her performance at The Peppermint Club in LA on December 8th.  Give it a listen!

18 year old who goes under the moniker mxmtoon releases Porcelain.  While indie folk could put you to sleep, she manages to catch a vibe with just a vocal and a ukulele, mastering the craft of writing bedroom folk.  She’s amassed a decent online following garnering support from Mr. Suicide Sheep, Indie Nation, and Koala Kontrol. Having a bunch of performances lined up, her Moroccan Lounge on 1/25 in LA is sold out.  Unlike other indie artists that tend to hide behind their music to their own detriment, mxmtoon has a personality and is vibrant in her YouTube videos. I like it, give it a stream.

I’m enjoying the new track Feel Better by electro pop artist Fi.  The Irish singer says the track is a bit different from her first release.  I think it’s a better track with a punchier chorus.  Fi is from Dublin and cites Halsey, Tove Lo, Lorde, Dua Lipa as influences. The debut single “Éalú” was released earlier in the year and received some radio spins and blog love.  Impressed by the reaction to her first song, she flew to Los Angeles and recorded Feel Better with Shayan Amiri which was co-written with Esjay Jones (Nile Rogers, Sean Kingston). Fi reveals, I was listening to a podcast, and the writer is, where Ryan Tedder [of OneRepublic] was being interviewed and giving advice. He said, ‘Go to where the music is: London, LA or NY’. Los Angeles is brimming with so many talented producers, artists, songwriters, and guaranteed sun, so I just booked my flight hoping it would all naturally fall into place … and fortunately somehow it did!” Give the track a stream.

Check out the Brooklyn based duo Ruumer.  The sister indie pop group dropped a music video for the radio worthy track Gimme Some (feat. Sammy Adams). Ruumer tells Kings, “The vibey anthem is all about empowering women’s sexuality”. The duo started out as a power-pop act and won over blogs like Idolator and Perez.  In 2017 they released the Kesha-esqe track Heels, and now they slowed things down a bit with Gimme Some.  Give it a stream!
