NYC indie rock act SKATERS has signed with Warner Brothers. The band formed in early 2012 after singer Michael Ian Cummings and Noah Rubin spent a year trading demos back and forth from Los Angeles to London with guitarist Joshua Hubbard. They will release their full length this summer. Check out the track I Wanna Dance (But I Don’t Know How).

Like plenty of music fans, Sam Broe jumped at the chance to join Spotify two summers ago, and he hasn’t looked back.

Spotify, which began streaming music in Sweden in 2008, lets users choose from millions of songs over the Internet free or by subscription, and is increasingly seen as representing the future of music consumption. Mr. Broe, a 26-year-old from Brooklyn, said that having all that music at his fingertips helped him trim his monthly music budget from $30 to the $10 fee he pays for Spotify’s premium service. Buzz Track: Too Late

Indie pop-act Dinner And A Suit are building a buzz with their latest release “Since Our Departure.  To capture their musical focus, Dinner And A Suit split their time between First Street Studios in Cleveland, TN with producer Tyler Orr (Copeland, As Cities Burn), then with Matt Goldman (Anberlin, Underoath, Cartel) at Glow in the Dark Studios in Atlanta, GA. The band then zig-zagged the US for coveted live dates throughout 2012, including showcases at the New Music Seminar, Billboard Film & TV Conference and ASCAP’s “We Create Music” Series. Dinner And A Suit recently became a MTV Buzzworthy Artist, one of Seventeen’s “17 Bands Everyone Should Be Talking About” and named a “Rising Tide” by Billboard Magazine as they prepare to launch a six-week US tour in February 2013.

Buzz Track: Somebody Loves You

Betty Who, a 21-year old indie-pop artist, originally from Sydney, Australia but currently living in Boston, MA. She is currently working with producer Peter Thomas (Hoodie Allen, Neon Hitch) on her debut EP, scheduled for release in late April. She recently hit the 20,000 mark on Soundcloud, and just partnered with Talenthouse to launch a worldwide remix contest for her latest single, “Somebody Loves You”. Upcoming performances in Boston and NYC will be announced shortly.
