Buzz Track: O’Wasted Days
We finally got power back and after a week of sifting through press releases we stumbled upon Young Creatures. The track was recorded live at The Hobby Shop in L.A. This psychedelic rock outfit will mesmerize you if you give it a chance.  The band was featured as the Local Anesthetic on Julie Slater’s Out On A Limb show that airs on 88.5 KCSN in LA.
For fans of Cage The Elephant, The Black Keys, etc.

Artists like Katy Perry, Dave Matthews, and John Mellencamp have come to rescue politics while Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, and Christina Aguilera have come to rescue the victims of Hurricane Sandy that afflicted the north east. When artists and TV networks move in on natural catastrophes everybody wins, or at least we hope so. The artist benefits from press and the spike of music sales while the TV networks such as NBC gain increased viewership. I’m not sure how this effects the victims of Hurricane Sandy. The goal is to  help raise funds, awareness and logistical support but the channeling of funds are always in dispute.

In better news, The ‘Bethenny Ever After’ star donated  $50,0000 to the Red Cross to support the hurricane relief effort in New Jersey while other stars are encouraging fans to donate.

Buzz Track: Love Changes Everything
Indie pop artist Kat Parsons just released her new EP “Oh!”, which was funded by her fans through a Kickstarter campaign. The EP is a collection of catchy indie pop songs. She was  one of 10 indie artists handpicked throughout the US for Ford Fusion’s campaign and appears on the Cher Tribute album with Lisa Loeb and Sheila E.

The headlines say “The Strolling Bones are ready to hit the road again” and “Even better than they were thirty years ago”

“The Rolling Stones have announced that they will go on the road at the end of 2002 and play dates in the UK in 2003. The tour will last a year and include live Internet broadcasts. The concerts will be used to promote an album which the group will record this year. The Stones’ last tour, Bridges to Babylon, lasted two years and helped to secure their position as the most successful touring band in pop history.”
