Buzz Track: Heartless

DC indie rock act Color Palette has released ‘Heartless‘ – an upbeat indie rock track layered in guitars and synths. Baeble Music says “combines a lively riff with an underlying yet robust synth line reminiscent of the tail end of Joy Division’s “Love Will Tear Us Apart.” “Heartless” was produced by friend Kyle Downes and pulling inspiration from artists such as Kurt Vile and New Order. The band is set to play DC’s Rock & Roll Hotel on July 25th.

Buzz Track: Take It Back

We’ve become an instant fan Nashville singer songwriter Liza Anne. Her new single is ‘Take It Back’ comes off her independently released her sophomore album, TWO. Liza Anne has shared the stage with Marc Scibilia, Sea Wolf, Leighton Meester, among others. She will support David Ramirez on the West coast leg of his upcoming Fables Tour. NPR Music called Liza Anne a, “…singer-songwriter with a gift for haunting infectiousness.”

Buzz Track: Tell Me What You Want From Me

Indi alt-rock Philly based Good Old War will release their new album and first on Nettwerk Records, Broken Into Better Shape on June 30th. Produced by Jason Lehning (Mat Kearney, Dolly Parton), and featuring lead single “Tell Me What You Want From Me,” it follows critically acclaimed Come Back As Rain, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers, and led to national TV performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live! & Conan. Good Old War has performed alongside Alison Krauss, Guster, Brandi Carlile and Dr. Dog.

Buzz Track: Avalon

Clara Mae just released her first song ”Avalon” which reached number #2 on Sweden iTunes last week & # 12 on the Swedish National Digilist. Clara Mae appeared in the Swedish national TV show Idol, which led to a part on Ace Of Base tour and on their album “The Golden Ratio”. Mae’s first single Avalon is colored with the 90’s, a tinge of Alanis Morissette & combines elements of today’s best indie pop sounds.

Buzz Track: I Can’t Control Myself

New Wave Minneapolis act Strange Names has released a new track ‘I Can’t Control Myself’ which is taken from the new LP ‘Use Your Time Wisely’ out now on Frenchkiss Records. The band recorded Use Your Time Wisely at The End in Brooklyn with producer Andrew Maury and have been build a steady online buzz. They have shows lined up in Minneapolis as well as NYC. i-D Magazine notes, “Strange Names have succeeded in creating the kind of music people genuinely need; sunny, happy music that makes everything feel like it’s going to be okay.”
