The Cairos

Brisbane three piece The Cairos have released the new single ‘Love Don’t Feel Right‘. While the bands last release was through Island/Universal, the new single is self released, and the results are good. It’s airy, dreamy, and atmospheric with hints of The Beatles & Coldplay. The band notes, “the new single is a little bit different from what we have done before, it’s more pop inspired. With 100% creative control, this is the work that we have been wanting to produce.” They played along side Mute Math, have performed high profile gigs in South East Asia, and will embark on a 2016 presented by Rolling Stone.

Anlex English

NJ singer-songwriter Alex English released a new EP with notable tracks on it such as ‘I’m On Fire‘ and ‘High Off The Ground‘. Although new on the scene, she is quickly finding her voice and a place as a songwriter with her unique blend of pop & soul, think Rihanna meets Americana. Having been nominated for this years Asbury Music Awards (the home of Springsteen), this could be her beginning to something great.

Males

Dunedin garage rock act Two Cartoons impresses with the latest single release ‘Males‘. They have received love from BBC Radio 6, Clash Magazine and The 405. The band has gained momentum with the previous single releases including ‘Horizon Approaching‘ which has garnered over 690,000 Spotify plays, 90,000+ Soundcloud streams and has charted on New Zealand alternative radio. The band has found their own brand of guitar driven garage rock, and unlike their cohorts, they brought back melody.

Oh, Be Clever

Following the success of last single ‘River‘ which reached #17 on the Hype Machine and garnering 45k+ Soundcloud plays, Oh, Be Clever just released the new track ‘Blanket‘. A uniquely catchy track with vocalist Brittney Shields showing off her vocal prowess, at times channeling Elle King. This Utah indie-electro duo could very well be the future indie darlings.
