Look out for Julianna Joy and the track Prescriptions. You’ll love if you like spacey, ambient, or Spotify Dream Pop. It’s the third single from my upcoming EP Garden of Eden, produced with Teddy Geiger (Shawn Mendes, Maroon 5, Lizzo). Zane Lowe premiered the track on his show on Apple Music 1.

Joy says “Prescriptions’ comes from a place that I know everybody who has ever been medicated has been,”. She also says, “I started taking anti-depressants my senior year of high school due to crippling depression and anxiety that kept me home sometimes from school. This song is about the struggle with acceptance of being on meds, and how the first few months of adjusting and figuring out what is best for your body affects your relationships. It’s hard knowing what is right for your body, especially when there are so many different options to medication and treatment. I am just lucky enough to have found a med that worked for me and that I had access in the first place.”

Look out for 19 year old Matty Reynolds and the indie pop track bed head fever.

“I wrote this song about feeling exhausted from going out but also having the fear of missing out on things” says Reynolds.

Taking cues from Jeremy Zucker and Jon Bellion everything changed for the kid when he created a TikTok account at 17. He started gaining attention with the debut single “Last September” and hotel party,” which garnered over 1 million streams in 1 week.

Look out for Restless Modern and the new track On and On which was co-produced Co-produced with Peter Thomas (P!nk, Betty Who, Allie X).

The 25 year-old Wisconsin-based indie artist released several singles that has garnered over 30 million streams on Spotify and were highlighted by Billboard, Lyrical Lemonade, MTV and Atwood. Playlist include Spotify’s Pop Rising, young & free, sad hour, and Good Vibes.

Restless Modern notes, “Some of the most difficult and important conversations in society grow stale and taboo over time. To combat this, “on and on” covers its thematically dark underbelly with a billowing presentation of glittery pop-plastic elements meant both to distract superficially from and contextually lean into its confrontation of gaslighting, manipulation, and abuse.

Kings favorite Merchant drops the new track Empty that features John John Taylor from Duran Duran. The mid tempo track is sadder than the previous release but still uplifting to find a home on Spotify’s Indie Pop Playlist.

“I close the blinds and go back to sleep” is probably how a lot of us have felt these past few weeks with the resurgence a new Covid variant, but Merchant says there’s hope.

The Los Angeles based artist has received support from Ones To Watch, WFNM, KCRW, Lyndsey Havens of Billboard, and Lori Majewski & Simon Le Bon on Sirius XM. The tracks landed on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds” and “Fresh Finds Pop”.
