Nashville-based  Carli Brill impresses with the new track Kaleidoscope. It’s perfect if you’re in the mood for something jazzy or retro pop and want to travel back in time to the 60’s and hang with the The Beach Boys and The Mamas and The Papas. The song could find a home on any Spotify indie playlist.

Brill says “I wrote Kaleidoscope during a time where I was doing a lot of self-discovery. I’m continually on this deep search for my identity and I had realized my true self always lied within me, I just needed to turn the lens and uncover her. I love the irony of the song being dreamy while lyrically it’s about waking up to your own reality. The kaleidoscope represents how we as humans are continually changing, moving, morphing yet always possess that essential piece to who we are- even if it’s yet to be discovered.”

Simon Cowell is in talks about taking a gig as a talent scout for Universal Music Group. The TV singing judge has been in discussions with Lucian Grainge, the CEO of Universal. This is a dramatic change of fortune for him. ‘Any record label would be lucky to have his knowledge, wisdom and contacts within the industry, and his old mate Lucian has got in there first.’

Estella says, “I wanted to flip that narrative on its head with “Buzzcut”. This song is about holding your shape when embarking on a new relationship, an encouragement to “stay true to your own authentic flare.” To have someone be so enthralled with you that they would adjust themselves to better suit what they thought you wanted”.

With over 80,000 Spotify monthly listeners, the 24 year old Colorado based artist released a slew of singles and was a semi-finalist on New Zealand’s Got Talent.
