Did you see Elon Musk’s Tweet? He tweeted Coachella should postpone itself until it stops sucking. Musk also tweeted that the panic over the coronavirus was dumb and stupid. This confused lots of bloggers because they consider Musk a genius. But is Musk right? Is the panic over the COV-19 hype and panic? And what does this mean for the concert business? The performing arts world has taken a major blow. Pearl Jam, Miley Cyrus and Madonna also shuttered gigs over virus fears. If the panic continues, lots of businesses will fold.

Outside of pandemics, we also have climate change fear that has effected the concert business. Coldplay is not touring because of climate change. Will other acts follow so the earth has a few years left to live? Bloggers, politicians and journalists are telling folks that civilization has a few years left because of climate change.

Did you see the headline “Elon Musk Worries that SpaceX Won’t Get to Mars Before He Dies.”?

Musk and his buddies believe the only hope they have of living to the age of 65 is if we colonize Mars.

We just added Normal Now by Limón Limón to the Kings Indie Invader Playlist. I’ve never heard of the act but I like the track. After I quick search I found out the duo is based in Los Angeles and have picked up tastemaker support with the release of their ‘west coast-good vibe’ electro tracks. The also landed on Spotify’s Indie Fresh Finds. That’s what I like, an artist spreading good vibes. I like to see vibes next to spreading rather than virus, because that all we hear today. Give it a stream.

Although not finalized, Coachella is looking to move to October. Organizers should know in about 48 hours.

Officials with promoter Goldenvoice are trying to move the music festival in Indio, California, to the weekends of Oct. 9 and Oct. 16. If they don’t, the festival could cancel.

Call with talent agents already are taken place.

Postponing the massive festival is a huge process. Hundreds of artists are booked as well as hundreds of contractors and vendors. If the Coachella headliners including Frank Ocean, Rage Against the Machine and Travis Scott can be convinced to move, then the festival will take place in October.

Spotify has launched a slew of global RADAR programs. It will focus on up-and-coming artists from 50 markets worldwide. These artist will get solid Spotify support – programmed playlists, the new ‘On Our Radar’ playlist, and other marketing efforts.

Right now, Spotify has U.S. Alaina Castillo as an artist to watch. The Houston, Texas singer-songwriter has over 3 million streams and is known for the track “i don’t think i love you anymore” produced by RØMANS.

Other artists that made the radar list are Mali, When Chai Met, Toas Taba, Chake (India), Elaine (South Africa), merci, mercy (Australia), Ela Minus (Columbia), and Hervé (France).

In 2017, Spotify had a program called Rise which profiled Lauv, Russell Dickerson and Trippie Redd.

The same public pressure that caused SXSW to cancel could also call-off Coachella. That’s right, a petition has called for Coachella to be cancelled due to coronavirus.

Will Coachella, the massive music festival set to kick off the weekend of April 10 in the California desert go ahead with the event?

Calls for a shutdown with a petition to call-off Coachella garnered more than 5,500 signatures. So far, SXSW and Ultra Music Festival cancelled. The economic cost of tech events cancelled due to coronavirus has surpassed $1 billion. I’m thinking the economic fallout could be 10x worse much worse than the virus itself.
