The Native Howl released a 5 song EP Thrash Grass on the band-owned Clean Dirt Records that remained on the Billboard Charts for nearly 2 months, having people scratching their heads. The Rochester, Michigan act kicked off in 2013 as a duo releasing their debut recording The Revolutions Dead before adding the newest members which brought them into a brand new genre mixing rock, folk, and bluegrass. Now with adding piano, harmonica, banjo, djembe, the band is nearly impossible to define. Kings favorite Julian Lamadrid released the emotional video for the soul track Untouched.
Julian who moved to NYC and is studying at NYU, cites The Weeknd, J Dilla, Vampire Weekend as influences. Inspired by a wide array of genres, Julian combines hip hop, indie rock and a bit of R&B. Julian has over 500k Spotify plays and was recently added to the popular Spotify Playlist Chillvibes.

Los Angeles based singer-songwriter Sam Nicolosi released the soul track Fiction. Sam got his start when his songs were passed around, eventually leading to a pub deal with Warner Chappell Music. UK indie 4 piece Young Astronaut released a video for the new track Chasing El Dorado. Shot at the roller disco Rollerworld in Colchester, the video is reminiscent of the 90’s – pink roller skates, video games, and neon lights. The track which was produced by Geoff Swan (White Lies, Ed Sheeran, Bastille) comes off their forth-coming album called A Gold Frontier scheduled for April 7th.
Formed by brothers Chris & Pete Boakes, the band has garnered support from BBC and have performed a wide variety of venues in London as well as Beijing, Chengdu and Hong Kong. Check it out!
