Tracy Irve

Tracy Irve made the top Sweden iTunes Chart with the new track Town. Who is Tracy Irve? They’re a brother-sister duo Linnea and Alexander Herlogsson that hail from Gothenburg making haunting pop. Interestingly, their father performed in a Swedish rock group, and shared with them Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin, and Sheryl Crow. The first single Town comes off their forthcoming debut-EP.

Sun Circus

Mix together The Black Keys & The White Stripes and you will get something similar to the likes of Sun Circus. The 4 piece indie rock outfit is riding high from their latest “We Went To War’ and now they just released the video. “This track is ultimately about inner peace” say Benny. The band will perform a rare London show at Spice of Life in Soho on February 20th. All in all, the indie new comers have generated much blog chatter in such a short time.

Desi

Kings favorite Desi Valentine, still riding the buzz from the single ‘Asylum‘ releases a new track ‘Something Real‘. With a previous Spotify feature and landing on Hype Machines Twitter chart the new single will maintain his momentum. “Something Real” is about searching for a passionate connection out here in LA; not just going through the motions and placating the person you are with” says Valentine. Having been compared to Amy Winehouse and Sam Smith, Desi Valentine spent time as a back-up singer for Elton John and Leona Lewis. He will perform a one-night only at the Hotel Cafe (LA) on Tuesday, February 16th.

Rihanna

What happened to the mega star Rihanna? It wasn’t to long ago that the Barbadian singer ruled the airwaves. But her career has taken a downturn.

Nielsen reported that her new album sold fewer than 1,000 copies in the U.S. – and reviews of her latest Album are lackluster. The New York Times noted “She made a record that only she wants to hear”.

To be fair, the album did reach No. 1 on iTunes’s internal charts, and it’s predicted that “Anti” could sell up to 130,000 copies in its first full week of sales.

Update: Rihanna’s Anti has now jumped to #1 on the Billboard 200. The album debuted last week at number 27, which is very low for RiRi. Anti had less than a day to accrue streams and sales for its first “week,” but now that afull week has gone by, her sales are looking better, but not great.
