Kylie Odetta

The name Kylie Odetta should ring a bell, especially if you’re a regular reader. Kylie is back again with a new 4 song EP. She’s been gigging around since 15, and now 18, she is coming into her own. Having been closely watched for the last 5 years, she released tons of songs and performed in hundreds of venues, opening up for Gavin DeGraw & Colbie Callait. As far as her new work, “This time I made a conscious decision to let the passion in my vocals speak for me and not hide behind production” Kylie reflects. You’ll need take a journey to the South East to catch the indie-pop songstress live.

Mothlight

Dream pop outfit Mothlight from Los Angeles released a new track “Annie’. The three piece notes “Inspired by the writings of Annie Dillard – a much loved and Pulitzer Prize winning author – the song is an appreciation of solace and presence her work has given to countless artists both lyrically and musically. While the track was mixed and mastered by Andrew Naeve (of White Arrows), the band has urged other indie artists to create their own remix of the song.

If you’re kickin it in Los Angeles, then check out the boys opening up for the High Highs at The Bootleg Theatre on March 8th.

POF is a progressive rock band that is using their combined experience as songwriters, teachers, and journalists to tackle the inside stories of industry professionals, musicians, actors, YouTube stars, and anyone who creates for a living.

The premise of the show revolves around getting the scoop on how artists make a living as entrepreneurs, moves, and creators. They want to know the who, what, when, why, and how of what makes the artist an ARTIST.

They also add dialogue to some of the music industry’s pressing and trending topics as well as documenting the livelihood of an indie musician.

Mood Robot

Los Angeles based Mood Robot are heating up their motor. Their newest single “Drip” is currently on the top 5 of Spotify’s USA Viral 50 playlist & has clocked 80K plays on Spotify. Known for their online leaks, the female fronted electronic trio released the six track collection titled ‘The Story We Tell Ourselves’. As you listen to ‘Drip’ think about the meaning which was revealed by the band, “It’s a song about craving something toxic, and you are fully aware that it could kill you. But the pleasure you get from it at first is so great that what could happen to you in the end doesn’t even matter.”
