Los Angeles indie dream pop act Night Lights are quickly making a name for themselves. The band released their debut EP with much fanfare earning them a live session show with Culture Collide, a Vents Magazine feature, and a shoutout by Buzznet. Inspired by the likes of Mutemath, Two Door Cinema Club, and Friendly Fires, the band recently moved their home base to Los Angeles and are set to release their first full-length album this winter.

The income of DJ’s is exploding. In fact, Scotland’s Calvin Harris topped a Forbes list of the world’s highest paid DJs, earning $66 million that surpassed Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence.
“The rise of dance music has been astronomical… I happened to be in the right place at the right time,” Harris told Forbes.
Harris was followed by French DJ David Guetta ($37 million) while Dutch DJ Tiesto came in third with $36 million, while Americans Skrillex and Steve Aoki rounded out the Top 5, making $24 million apiece.

California alternative rock act Cemetery Sun releases (Hard Drugs) Fake Love. It’s upbeat, catchy, combining guitars and synths making Cemetery Sun one of the few alternative acts that could burst on the mainstream. MAALA an Auckland-based artist has a buzz around his upcoming EP which will soon be released. His single “Touch” has garnered over 180,000 plays online grabbing the attention of New Zealand and international media. The identity of electro-pop singer MAALA has been kept a secret until his recent interview with The Wireless who notes “MAALA is 20-year old Evan Sinton – and if that name sounds familiar it’s because a few years ago he placed third in reality television show New Zealand’s Got Talent.

Los Angeles based pop band The Tide recently signed with The Vamps new record label under EMI Universal. The band began posting cover songs on YouTube such as ‘She Looks So Perfect’ by 5 Seconds of Summer and ‘Steal My Girl’ by One Direction and later on started performing their original songs on The Vamps World Tour 2015.
