Buzz Track: When I Come Home

Singer-songwriter Sarah McGowan just released a new single ‘When I Come Home’ that comes off her debut EP, Indian Summer. The title track was described by Songwriting Magazine as a “languid, aching, folk-tinged ballad” and tells the tale of a love lost while Pop Matters says, “Featuring what might become the official surf rock jam of Brooklyn, Sarah McGowan’s Indian Summer is an EP filled with ebullient sing-alongs and hooks aplenty.” Sarah performs regularly in NYC including the Bitter End, Red Lion, Pianos and Arlene’s Grocery.

Girlfriend

Buzz Track: You Lead The Way

UK act Girl Friend has released a new song that will come off their new EP followed by a tour. The track ‘STOP’ and the video picked up early responses from blogs like The 405 and Ear Milk. Described as ‘honing in on the particulars of passion and desire’ by DIY Magazine, Girl Friends’s unique take on classic and refined pop has seen them pick up plays on XFM, heavy rotation across Amazing Radio, and touring on European dates with the Kooks. The Guardian says “We are moved to controversially suggest that, in the pantheon of Manchester debut singles, it is in the ballpark of The Stone Roses’ So Young and Happy Mondays’ Delightful and within kissing distance of Hurts’ Better Than Love.”
