Tidal

Everybody is bailing at Jay Z’s Tidal including Jay Z himself according to insiders. A mass exodus is happening even though Madonna recently said “this is just beginning for Tidal” in the beginning of the week. This failed venture has cost Jay Z millions of his own money according to sources. These Hollywood stars may figured out that ‘technology’ disruption has weakened ‘celebrity branding’. Throwing a celebrity behind a product no longer guarantees a successful launch.

Lana Del Ray

Many people cry when they meet celebrities, especially the ones who have a crush on that particular individual. The degree of devotion to celebrities can range from a simple crush to a delusion that they have an intimate relationship with the star which does not exist. In some cases, this can lead to stalking behavior. This can easily switch to hatred of the previously loved celebrity, and result in attempts at violent attacks, one notable incident being the death of Rebecca Schaeffer by a stalking fan in 1989.

Join The Riot

Buzz Track: Us Against The Wall

Join The Riot, a Swedish 5 piece alt band have created a buzz with the infectious dance electro track ”Us against the wall”. The band is recording their debut album in a display window in the middle of the Swedish capital this month. They built a studio in a glass box in Stockholm’s busiest streets and are spending the whole month working on the album in what they have named ‘A Glass Cage Of Emotions‘. Throughout the month passers-by can watch what’s going on through the many windows and even listen to their sessions via headphones on the street. We’ve been working on the album for a little over a year, and figured that when it came to recording it, collaborating with the Scandic Malmen hotel to promote its music profile at the same time as our new album, would be much better than renting an expensive studio,” says vocalist Henrik Ljungqvist. They’ve performed venues and festivals in Sweden and in April toured China performing Music Midi Festival.
