Atlanta, GA The Well Reds are preparing to release their new album titled Volume in November 2014 which was produced by Joseph Prielozny (Natalie Grant, Mandisa). The quartet just premiered the newest track from the album, “Do You Still Love Me,” an catchy track reminiscent of Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, and Maroon 5, which premiered on Indie Shuffle and has over 11,000 plays on Soundcloud. The band has opened for acts such as Daughtry, Hot Chelle Rae, Parachute, and Minus The Bear.

For many music-lovers, the experience of going to a state-of-the-art arena to see their favorite band or artist perform is all part of the fun, whereas for others, an intimate gig held in a small venue is the ideal way to enjoy live music.

Whilst the type of venue you choose to see your favorite acts is entirely based on personal taste, it is worth debating over the pros and cons of each before purchasing tickets.

Band-specific venues

It goes without saying that the type of band or artist that you are going to see will determine the type of venue. For globally-recognised bands, the venue will more than likely be a large scale stadium to accommodate for the large volume of fans. Up-and-coming artists on the other hand, will have a smaller fan base and be performing in lesser-known venues with smaller capacities.

It’s true that some bands work better in larger venues than others. While some bands will thrive off dancing crowds and special staging effects, the sound quality and visual aesthetics of acoustic artists with stripped back performances may fail to work in larger venues. CONTINUE READING

Buzz Track: The Balance

Royal Tongues are a duo out of Buffalo, NY who have recently burst onto the scene with high-energy synth anthems ready for sync placements and alt radio traction. The duo has spent much of this past year co-writing with major songwriters from LA to NYC and scoring major sync placements. They self produced and released their new single last week. They were featured on Neon Gold and premiering FM debut on KX93.5 We Found New Music. Influences range from Smallpools, Passion Pit and Grouplove. Royal Tongues is an artist to watch.

Justin

Justin Mortelliti just released his second EP “The Prince of April”. He performs the lead role in the rock musical ‘Rock of Ages’ at The Venetian in Las Vegas. He was also the lead vocalist in Kidz Bop Live and toured with the group across America. He even had a ‘one night’ guest role as a lead vocalist with Foreigner. He has appeared in the CBS hit Numb3rs, feature film The Collection, and the Batman short film Puppet Master; where he was nominated for Best Actor at The Method Film Festival. The song ‘The Fall’ was featured at the title track in the film ‘Dog Tags’ as well as the theme song for the web series ‘Gossip Boy’. Check out his current single ‘My Silver’.
