Graham Nash and India.Arie are joining a growing list of performers following Neil Young’s lead and ditching Spotify, and to combat the rumors, it’s not the issue of getting $0.0004 per stream. They are pulling their songs over Joe Rogan, a popular podcaster. Critics claim he is spreading information contrary to the mainstream and it’s dangerous.

Joe Rogan recently released a video defending his podcast. He went on to say that he had highly qualified doctors, the most widely published in their field on his show. He argued that his podcasts are merely discussions.

“Having heard the Covid disinformation spread by Joe Rogan on Spotify, I completely agree with and support my friend, Neil Young,” Nash said in a statement posted Tuesday on his Instagram account.

Look out for Julianna Joy and the track Prescriptions. You’ll love if you like spacey, ambient, or Spotify Dream Pop. It’s the third single from my upcoming EP Garden of Eden, produced with Teddy Geiger (Shawn Mendes, Maroon 5, Lizzo). Zane Lowe premiered the track on his show on Apple Music 1.

Joy says “Prescriptions’ comes from a place that I know everybody who has ever been medicated has been,”. She also says, “I started taking anti-depressants my senior year of high school due to crippling depression and anxiety that kept me home sometimes from school. This song is about the struggle with acceptance of being on meds, and how the first few months of adjusting and figuring out what is best for your body affects your relationships. It’s hard knowing what is right for your body, especially when there are so many different options to medication and treatment. I am just lucky enough to have found a med that worked for me and that I had access in the first place.”

Look out for 19 year old Matty Reynolds and the indie pop track bed head fever.

“I wrote this song about feeling exhausted  from going out but also having the fear of missing out on things” says Reynolds.

Taking cues from Jeremy Zucker and Jon Bellion everything changed for the kid when he created a TikTok account at 17. He started gaining attention with the debut single “Last September” and hotel party,” which garnered over 1 million streams in 1 week.

79 year old Joni Mitchell has pulled her songs from Spotify and not because of the low streaming payout, but over podcaster Joe Rogan.

“Irresponsible people are spreading lies that are costing people their lives,” the Canadian musician said. “I stand in solidarity with Neil Young and the global scientific and medical communities on this issue.”

76-year-old Neil Young also wants popular podcaster Joe Rogan banned. He said the consequences were “potentially causing death to those who believe this disinformation spread,” saying, “They can have Rogan or Young. Not both.”

What caused the uproar? Joe Rogan had several doctors on his podcast questioning the efficacy and safety of drugs. Drug manufactures quickly retaliated after criticizing drug safety.

Pearl Jam is set to enter the studio with Andrew Watt who is known for his work with Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus all the way to Ozzy Osbourne. He’s a skillful guitarist and highly in demand. Watt also worked with Vedder on his upcoming solo album ‘Earthlings’.

Watt won Non-Classical Producer Of The Year at the 2021 Grammy Awards.

Vedder said: “We’ll make a record with Andrew, I believe. We’ve already talked about it. You know, the pandemic came right as we were leaving for a tour on the ‘Gigaton’ record. We had a lot of shows planned. Two-thirds of those shows were put on sale, even. So one thing we’ll be doing in 2022 in making good on promises to play those shows.”
