It’s the female version of The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Light’s with an added sax at the end of the song. Yes, people are still obsessed with the 80’s. Before moving to Nashville, Rachel Braig aka Essy, studied at Berklee College of Music and collaborated with songwriters before writing with electronic duo Ship Wrek. Give it a listen.

NYC based Rachel Bochner shares Ultraviolet. It’s a really viby track and you’ll love if you like Lana Del Ray and Billie Eilish. Her influences range from Maggie Rogers, Lorde, Sasha Sloan, Lennon to Stella. The new release comes off her 5 song 2AM EP that she dropped on 1/15. Look out for Estella Dawn and her new piano ballad Petty. It’s a standout track with an ethereal vocal and a haunting piano melody. Fans of Lana Del Rey, Zella Day, and Lorde will eat it up. “Petty is about the breakdown of a friendship, knowing someone’s intimate secrets and wanting to use them in retaliation but knowing better” shares Estella. The 23 year old Colorado based artist has been releasing a song every couple of weeks. At 15 she was a semi-finalist on New Zealand’s Got Talent. Check it out on KOAR’s Indie Invaders Playlist.
